So what is it REALLY like to work for The Computing Center.
It's our employees, of course. We have always been innovative in finding and working with our staff. We hire full-time, part-time, and contract employees. Here are some FAQs about our employment practices.
How do you go about finding employees?
We advertise a lot, make contacts through word of mouth, and use the Web. We also work closely with Temporary Technical Employment agencies to help us find the right people.
What kind of people work for The Computing Center?
Actually all kinds. Our employees are mostly college graduates with degrees from anything from engineering to liberal arts. Many of our employees never intended to get into the computer business, but we found each other. The most common thing about all of our employees is each has a passion to help companies create excellent business solutions and they have strong communications skills.
What's special about working at The Computing Center?
When we asked our employees that question, the one word answer is: Flexibility! We're alwasy trying to make it easier for our employees to get their work done and also live their lives. Flex-Time, Comp-Time, and work from home (on certain projects) are all part of business as usual. There are almost always kids around here on snow days and other days...to the point where some days it's "Camp Computing Center" around here.
Do you have internships?
Occassionally, we offer internships to qualified high school and college students who show a lot of interest and can fit into one of our projects. If you're interested in an internship, send us a resume.
